NEW HEIGHTS Business Marketing Consultants (NEW HEIGHTS BMC) is seeking a Creative/Graphic Design Management Intern to help expand our creative existence. Our team guides brands, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly products and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.
The Creative/Graphic Design Management intern is expected to play an active hands-on role in key projects; turning innovative thinking…into inspired creation. You will oversee the activity of all interns for the Creative team and serve as the liaison between the Creative team and the Product Development team. In addition to overseeing the work of the other interns, you will have opportunities to attend business meetings and events.
In order to be successful, it is extremely important that the Creative/Graphic Design Management intern is personable, able to articulate objectives clearly, and comfortable directing traffic inside and outside of the office. Workflow efficiency and effective communication will be key!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
▪ Assist Creative Director in management of agency Creative Groups (Art Directors, Copywriters, Interactive, etc.)
▪ Log Creative Groups schedules and workloads
▪ Work with Senior Management to determine which creatives are available and best suited for upcoming projects
▪ Assist Creative Director in assigning and briefing creatives on projects
▪ Assist in assigning tasks for interns, ensuring that objectives are completed in full and on time
▪ Provide necessary follow-up to ensure work is on schedule for presentation.
▪ Function as a concierge to Creative Groups, assisting all in finding resources to get projects done.
▪ Develop systems to facilitate new creatives and freelancers to agency procedures (agency protocol)
▪ Designing advertisement mocks for pre-sales
▪ Any other creative tasks that may arise
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
▪ Junior or Senior undergraduate or graduate student
▪ In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign)
▪ Experience in mobile UI/UX design is a plus
▪ Must be detail orientated and have a general sense of color, typography, and composition.
▪ Passion and interest in print, digital and mobile media
▪ Proven talent for creating fresh, unique, and professional designs
▪ Offers innovative ideas and communicates effectively
▪ Insatiable hunger and desire for professional growth
SCHEDULE: 6-12 months, depending on amount of hours (Fall/Spring Semester, with the possibility of extending to Summer) (Hours are flexible and can be arranged according to a student’s academic/work schedule)
REMUNERATION:
Paid Internship with advancement opportunities. Academic credit also available.
Flexible schedule of 3-5 days/week.
