POSITION SUMMARY:
NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA guides brands, businesses, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly advertising & marketing products, promotions, and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.
PROMOTIONAL MARKETING & ADVERTISING COORDINATOR
The Promotional Marketing & Advertising Coordinator assists the Director of Brand Marketing & Advertising by acting as a liaison, coordinating various marketing efforts between the Promotions Department, Creative Department and Sales & Marketing Teams.
The Promotional Marketing & Advertising Coordinator is responsible for assisting the communications department with a variety of internal and external communications (including event planning) according to the established company policies and procedures, and works along with the Art Director, the Graphic Designers, the Website Manager, and the Director of Sales & Marketing to coordinate advertising strategies for the company’s print, online web, and digital media.
The Promotional Marketing & Advertising Coordinator also has to develop innovative ways to cut through a much cluttered market, as well as work closely with Sales Team, offering them support in terms of positioning The RTC Directory in the market and setting up promotions with the major retailers to ensure our print directory has maximum prominence in-store.
Marketing & Promotions are also responsible for being the frontline to the consumers who buy The RTC Directory. This includes gaining as much media exposure as possible for new releases of The RTC Directory print editions & TheRTCDIRECTORY.com, with attention getting, thought-provoking shout lines or by linking up with third parties for co-promotions. This also involves developing online marketing & promotional campaigns, creating and organizing events to gain media coverage, attending various assigned business meetings and events, as well as designing commercial advertisements for placement within traditional advertising media (newspaper ads, radio and television commercials, etc.).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
The initial staff is expected to assume multiple roles while undertaking multiple responsibilities. Your duties may include:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of guerilla marketing tactics.
- Assisting with coordinating a social media presence.
- Assisting with the planning of special events.
- Assisting with the coordination of television and radio commercial schedules.
- Coordinating and scheduling promotions to ensure client satisfaction and project completion.
- Coordinating promotional resources and marketing efforts to maximize the profits of the organization's sales.
- Coordinating strategies for the company’s print and web media.
- Stay abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve organizational objectives, adjusting accordingly.
- Stimulating product excitement through daily promotions, marketing, PR, and sales strategies.
- Working together with Art Director, Website Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing to coordinate advertising
- Researching, evaluating, and recommending enhancements to the market positioning of the organization's products.
- Maintaining project trackers and conducting monthly reviews with the product management team.
- Organizing and maintaining information in a searchable data base.
- Time-phasing tasks so that they are performed at the appropriate time and in the correct sequence.
- Working with web staff, product managers, and sales team to obtain parts that compete with assigned product lines
- Coordinating the competitive product benchmarking activity for assigned products.
- Coordinating training for marketing material and all promotions.
- Assisting in training the sales staff on materials: what the product is, why it is important to customers, and how to best sell it.
