NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA guides brands, businesses, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly advertising & marketing products, promotions, and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.

MANAGING EDITOR CHIEF / OPERATING OFFICER (COO)


The Managing Editor oversees all day-to-day operations. Plans and directs all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the organization's CEO, and/or Board of Directors. Acts as a point of contact between top management and employees or other stakeholders. Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance. Ensures and enforces the compliance of all company concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Manages a variety of assigned tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to CEO.


Manages all aspects of the organization's policies, procedures, objectives, and initiatives. Responsible for the short- and long-term profitability and growth of the company. The Managing Editor of The RTC Directory project will work closely with all other key figures on the team. He will be in constant contact with the CEO, CFO, Project Coordinator, Human Resources Director, Accounting, Internship Coordinator, Marketing & Promotions, Print Development Director, Art Director, Chief Technology Officer,

I.T. Dept, Business Legal, Sales & Marketing Director, Circulation & Distribution Manager, as well as the Production Manager.


These key figures within the editorial team will work closely together so that the process of directory production runs smooth and with no delays. Each person within this team will know their responsibilities and each department will play its own role in the creation and successful launch of The RTC Directory & TheRTCDirectory.com. The Editor-in-chief (CEO) will oversee all of them.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)

The initial staff is expected to assume multiple roles while undertaking multiple responsibilities. Your duties may include:


  • Relieving Chief Executive Officer of daily operating functions to increase time availability for executive level responsibilities.
  • Acting as the company liaison for the CEO, CFO, and/or the Board of Directors.
  • Acting as a point of contact between top management and employees or other stakeholders.
  • Performing a variety of duties and responsibilities, including that of acting General Manager.
  • Overseeing and upholding responsibility for all confidential and time sensitive material.
  • Overseeing preparations of all routine and advanced correspondence including letters, memoranda, and reports.
  • Maintaining responsibility for the short- and long-term profitability and growth of the company.
  • Assisting with planning and directing all aspects of an organization's policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Planning and directing all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the organization.
  • Leading and directing the work of all other key figures within the editorial team.
  • Overseeing overall performances of organization's sales and marketing programs.
  • Working with sales, and other departments towards resolution of unforeseen tax issues
  • Providing oversight and guidance to all projects, especially the ones of high importance.
  • Directing the development of new accounts and business relationships through sales, marketing, and referrals.
  • Assisting with organizing the print directory’s delivery into the warehouse, circulation, and distribution.
  • Assisting with organizing the online directory’s advertising functions and service offerings.
  • Resolving conflicts involving the clerical and administrative functions of the office.
