POSITION SUMMARY:
NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA guides brands, businesses, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly advertising & marketing products, promotions, and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.
DIRECTOR OF BRAND MARKETING & ADVERTISING
The Director of Brand Marketing & Advertising manages the Promotions Department. S/he works together with the Art Director, the Chief Technology Officer and the Director of Sales and Marketing to create advertising strategies for the company’s print, online web, and digital media, as well as writes TV and radio commercial scripts, and oversees the design and development of the company’s sales presentations and promotional marketing & advertising campaigns.
During product development and project launch phases, the emphasis is on applying marketing principles and creativity to launch a new product or business. The Director of Brand Marketing & Advertising will enjoy the challenge of overseeing the development of marketing messages, creating communications and promotional materials, interacting with website developers, and positioning all projects and products in a competitive context. This position should be full-time, but the final decision will be made depending on candidate’s background, interest, aptitude, and overall performance.
The Director of Brand Marketing & Advertising will also assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing sales promotion policies, programs, and initiatives to maximize the potential of the organization's sales products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
The initial staff is expected to assume multiple roles while undertaking multiple responsibilities. Your duties may include:
- Writing TV and radio commercial scripts.
- Creating customer presentations for all products
- Creating sample media kits designed to illustrate the sales message with the most impact.
- Designing company’s presentations and marketing campaigns.
- Development and implementation of guerilla marketing tactics.
- Development and implementation of strategic marketing plans for the organization.
- Conducting training on marketing material and all promotions.
- Stimulating product excitement through daily promotions, marketing, PR, and sales strategies.
- Staying abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve organizational objectives and adjusting accordingly.
- Researching, evaluating, and recommending enhancements to the market positioning of the organization's products
- Providing reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing.
- Assisting product managers to integrate product marketing tasks into the product development process.
- Working with web staff, product managers, and sales team to obtain parts that compete with our product lines
- Working with Art Director, Website Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing to create advertising messages
- Assisting managers in preparing sales training materials for all products.
- Training the sales staff on materials: what the product is, why it is important to customers, and how to best sell it.
- Working with sales teams to refine presentations for best effectiveness.
- Assisting with the development of a social media presence.
- Assisting with the planning of special events.
- Furnishing product information to company’s catalog and website development teams for assigned products.
- Maintaining project trackers and conducting monthly reviews with the product management team.
