POSITION SUMMARY:
NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA guides brands, businesses, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly advertising & marketing products, promotions, and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.
DIGITAL MARKETING & OUTREACH COORDINATOR
The Digital Marketing & Outreach Coordinator develops and maintains a very visible branded business presence throughout the community. S/he directs and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products. Suggests promotional campaign ideas in various types of media, as well as counsel top management on effective communication strategies. May conduct market and public opinion research to assess program outcomes.
The Digital Marketing & Outreach Coordinator implements community related content for the organization such as e-blasts, social network promotions, live events, bulletin boards, chat rooms, text blasts and email. Collect emails addresses, build and manages company’s email database. Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
The initial staff is expected to assume multiple roles while undertaking multiple responsibilities. Your duties may include:
- Writing and posting Press Releases
- Posting engaging content daily on social media platforms
- Publishing approved content on various social media platforms
- Responding and forwarding messages from social media and online
- Developing social media posting schedule month-to-month
- Conducting market and public opinion research
- Publishing and distributing electronic newsletters using Constant Contacts
- Promoting graphic design and on-site photography services
- Timely initiation of donor stewardship procedures
- Production of some copywriting and editing of website and newsletter content
- Copy writing for organization blog posts to be shared on social media and newsletters
- Monthly reports on newsletters and social media engagements to create outreach strategies with Executive Team
- Suggesting promotional campaign ideas in various types of media
- Assisting Internship Program Coordinator with social media marketing for program outreach
- Communicating volunteer coordination steps to volunteers
- Working alongside Program Coordinator and Executive Team to ensure effective outreach and communication
- Directing and overseeing communications programs
- Proofreading website and newsletter content
- Implementing community related content such as e-blasts, social network promotions, and chat rooms
- Collecting email addresses; building and managing company’s email database.
- Identifying and helping to develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers.
- Working with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives
