DIGITAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The Digital Business Development Manager main responsibilities will include shaping the company’s overall approach to digital services from start to finish and overseeing multiple projects across departmental and organizational boundaries. S/he’ll be expected to perform extensive market research to gather valuable insights and identify industry best practices, then translate those findings into clear digital strategies and measurable goals.
As a Digital Business Development Manager, you will work with the marketing and creative teams and oversee the execution of the company’s digital marketing campaigns, to ensure that all of our marketing efforts align with the overarching digital strategy.
Your job will be to ensure that the company’s transition to a digital environment is smooth, and that the infrastructure we develop and set up—including website, landing pages, social media accounts, email newsletters, etc.—is effective and reliably brings in new business. You are also responsible for managing all aspects of the website, including manage blog posts, guest articles, images, reviews, videos, and webpages. You will assist with creating new content for the website or auditing its existing content to identify areas of improvement. Similarly, you will help with search engine optimization (SEO) efforts to promote the website's presence and increase web traffic.
The Digital Business Development Manager will perform a range of IT, marketing, and website development tasks to ensure the organization has functional websites that represent us well and users can navigate easily. You will be expected to respond to all security issues and troubleshoot and resolve a variety of website performance issues, in addition to ensuring the website has accurate and current domain and hosting information to prevent potential downtimes.
The ideal candidate has an analytical mindset, in-depth knowledge of digital business development, is an expert communicator, and is able to manage a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment, while overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and administration of the organization's website.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)
While exact responsibilities may vary, common duties for the Digital Business Development Manager include:
- Developing a comprehensive digital business strategy and overseeing its execution
- Establishing a pipeline of core digital marketing activities and ensuring that the pipeline is aligned with the company’s
revenue targets and digital marketing goals
- Assessing new business opportunities with a strong revenue target in mind
- Maintaining strong and prosperous working relationships with important clients
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior managers, partners, and other stakeholders
- Identifying, exploring, and evaluating business opportunities, performing risk assessment, and mitigating potential risks
- Align the website with the organization's brand, strategy and standards
- Audit content and remove duplicate information
- Assist with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts
- Complete tests to ensure website efficiency and quality
- Create strategies to improve website traffic
- Develop website content to support organizational goals and strategies
- Ensure the website complies with the appropriate laws and regulations
- Evaluate competitors' websites
- Follow industry best practices
- Identify ways to improve website user experience
- Implement security measures to protect websites
- Keep the website's domain and hosting registration current
- Manage pay-per-click and search engine optimization campaigns
- Monitor for website security breaches and respond to them as needed
- Plan, create, implement, manage, monitor and update websites for the organization
- Produce sitemaps that represent and visualize the website's structure and functions
- Reply to, troubleshoot and resolve website issues
- Update website coding frequently
- PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience with management in business development
- Knowledge of digital marketing best practices
- The ability to translate complex business concepts into easy-to-understand strategies and tasks
- Expert networking skills to generate new business opportunities and nurture relationships with existing clients
- Proven success in winning, delivering, and retaining key clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
