POSITION SUMMARY:
NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA guides brands, businesses, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly advertising & marketing products, promotions, and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.
BULK SUBSCRIPTION SALES SPECIALIST
While we will sell The RTC Directory directly to Users via online subscriptions, some sales will be through third party retailers, and a huge variety of other wholesalers (Bulk Subscription Contracts) such as: gas stations, the local airport, grocery stores, convenience stores, major supermarkets, hotels, gift shops, newsstands, bookstores, offices and schools. We will even sell to companies that will give away our books! In fact, our mission is to sell books anywhere there are people who might buy them.
The Bulk Subscription Sales Specialist develops and maintains a visible presence throughout the wholesale and retail community. This is an incentive eligible position. Responsibilities include establishing new bulk subscription contracts, marketing to various prospective retail client accounts, converting potential hotel clients into accounts, as well as developing and managing wholesale and retail bulk subscription accounts throughout the area.
Responsibilities also includes assisting with identifying and coordinating product promotions, and implementing sales & marketing at conventions, festivals and various community events, as well as advertising and promoting the organization's products and services within the community to develop new prospects for business partnering, uncovering potential partnering opportunities, identifying potential corporate sponsors, uncovering corporate sponsorship opportunities, developing and managing partnering accounts, and establishing a community presence to maximize the profits of the organization's sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
The initial staff is expected to assume multiple roles while undertaking multiple responsibilities. Your duties may include:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a visible presence throughout the wholesale and retail community.
- Uncovering potential business-to-business (B2B) subscription sales opportunities.
- Identifying potential corporate level bulk subscription & contract sales opportunities
- Developing and managing bulk subscription accounts.
- Assisting with the implementation of community related content for the organization.
- Collecting email addresses at live events for building and managing company’s email database.
- Identifying and helping to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential bulk subscription account customers.
- Working with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
- Assist with researching, evaluating, and recommending enhancements to the market positioning of products or services.
- Performing a variety of product promotional tasks.
- Presenting communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products.
- Conducting market or public opinion research to assess program outcomes.
- Suggesting promotional campaign ideas in various types of media.
- Counseling top management on effective bulk subscription account strategies.
- Exemplifying knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within this particular field.
- Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
