NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA guides brands, businesses, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly advertising & marketing products, promotions, and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & FINANCE CONSULTANT
The Business Development & Finance Consultant works with the company to plan for our financial future, offering information and guidance on topics that include business partnering, financing, taxes, investments, and insurance decisions. Based on objectives, the consultant works closely with the CFO to help navigate the process of finding the best financial partners and negotiate the best deals through the Request For Proposal (RFP) process, and offer advice regarding other business and financial developments.
The Business Development & Finance Consultant also directs the focus of the company’s specific needs for consumer financing.
The Consultant meets personally with the CEO and CFO to assess the business financial situation in order to present a financial plan that includes both short- and long-term financial goals. The Consultant helps with financial planning decisions for retirement, education, day-to-day expenses, and investments. In addition, the consultant is licensed to buy and sell financial products such as insurance policies, stocks and bonds, and are bound by fiduciary duty; requiring them to put their clients’ interests before their own.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
The Business Development & Finance Consultant is expected to assume multiple roles and responsibilities that may include:
▪ Assessing company’s financial situation.
▪ Evaluating risk tolerance.
▪ Navigating the process of finding the best financial partners.
▪ Identifying opportunities to enhance company value.
▪ Developing financial strategies by guiding financial goals.
▪ Matching company goals to situation with appropriate financial plans.
▪ Explaining proposed financial plans, options, advantages, and risks.
▪ Enhancing company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities.
▪ Identifying and evaluating new financial strategies; recommending changes in goals and plans.
▪ Providing financial management information by preparing financial status analyses and reports.
▪ Updating job knowledge by tracking financial markets, general economic conditions, and new financial products.
▪ Exemplifying expertise in back-office functions including finance, human resources, procurement, and IT.
▪ Driving efficiency in transactional processes, allowing a shift in focus to building the strategic value of the finance function.
▪ Maximizing the performance of finance processes while reducing their costs.
▪ Helping improve the company’s ability to fund new products and markets, pay down debt, and undertake strategic initiatives.
▪ Assist in building a balanced set of capabilities across strategy, operations, analytics, performance, talent, and reporting.
▪ Advising and implementing strategic choices to help improve the company’s finance function.
▪ Identifying opportunities to transform the organizations’ finance by leveraging new technologies.
▪ Advising on how finance can be best organized to deliver efficiencies and effectiveness according to company strategy.
▪ Helping prepare for and execute merger and acquisition activities, specific to requirements for the finance function.
▪ Directs the focus of the company’s specific merchant services needs for consumer financing implementation.
▪ Helping improve business efficiency and collaboration, procure to pay, order to cash, close, consolidate and report.
▪ Gathering information regarding investments, asset allocation, savings, tax planning, and retirement and estate planning.
