POSITION SUMMARY:
NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA guides brands, businesses, agencies and start-ups through the concept and development of user-friendly advertising & marketing products, promotions, and strategies that highlight the uniqueness of each brand’s proposition.
ADVERTISING MEDIA CONSULTANT – MEDIA BUYER
Our Promotional Advertising Department will be assisted with media buying services – expected to be outsourced to an Ad Agency. The agency will handle all product advertising placements with TV, radio, online, print, newspaper, theater screens, and outdoor (billboards, buses, bus stop benches, etc.), as well as schedule various meetings, joint-promotions and community events.
This will require an engaging, outgoing person that is super-organized and capable of working out the details and logistics of a media schedule. This person will work closely with local newspapers and magazines, as well as broadcast and online media, to establish excellent contacts within the media, and meet with journalists regularly to pitch ideas to them, in an effort to generate thousands of dollars’ worth of free coverage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)
The Advertising Media Consultant is expected to assume multiple roles and responsibilities that may include:
▪ Creating advertising placement target lists
▪ Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the organization’s media relations.
▪ Scheduling alliance proposal pitch meetings with various advertising media, state gov. agencies and other organizations
▪ Assist in presenting advertising media partnering alliance proposals
▪ Assist in presenting strategic partnering alliance proposals with state gov. agencies and other organizations
▪ Working closely with media planner to implement media plan.
▪ Identifying target audience and ensuring media reaches target audience.
▪ Assisting in proposing and presenting bartering contracts to secure maximum amount of media advertising.
▪ Negotiating, scheduling, and buying appropriate advertising media.
▪ Handling advertising placement with print, TV, radio, online, theater screens, newspaper, and outdoor
▪ Implement media advertising campaign with all advertising media partners.
▪ Working out the details and logistics of all advertising media schedules.
▪ Monitoring all advertising media schedules, ensuring ads run according to schedule, and in its entirety.
▪ Scheduling joint-promotions and events with advertising media, businesses, and other organizations.
▪ Assisting with organizing and submitting press releases.
▪ Working to expand understanding of the organization's business, performance, and strategy.
▪ Preparing summaries of media activity for senior management.
▪ Occasionally serving as the company's spokesperson.
